You know your a parent when...

You know your officially a parent when you start a double date on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 and your home at 7:00!  We did just this with some great friends of ours this weekend!  We picked them up at 3:00 and headed flea marketing, where I scored an awesome sewing table for $26, had dinner at Hinode, followed by Andy's and a quick trip to Academy.  Only to drop them back of at their house just before 7:00.  We raced home and put the kids to bed.  :)  Thanks to my step-sister for watching the kiddos for us.

Sunday was church, lunch at the in-laws, a trip to Lowes and the grocery store and lots of play time with the kids.   Nathan leaves today to his 20 group meeting in St. Louis.  I'll be single mothering it for a couple of days, wish me luck!

Randomly I decided to ask her if I could put her hair up in TWO ponytails on Saturday and she said yes!  She's worn them everyday since.  :)  It's the little things.

Random Ramblings

- We went went camping/floating this weekend. I got rained on for three hours while on the river and had to sleep in a tent. But we had a great time. End of story. :)

- Asher is really starting to take off with his walking, you have to watch him ALL THE TIME!

- I love Chevron. 

- I really want to make some curtains I found in Pinterest. They are big bold stripes! Love them.

- I need to start planning a first birthday party. What?? How's that possible?   I'm thinking baseball themed.

- Amelia has started calling me ma'am. And Asher is now Bub.  I think it's adorable.

- Who's reading the 50 Shades Series?

- It's Big Brother night!  Who else LOVES BB??  I'm such a fan.

- My birthday is in 5 days!  Woo Hoo.

- When is apple going to tell me when they are releasing the iPhone 5, don't they know I need to know, I'm ready for an upgrade!

What a Weekend

Wow, what a weekend.  Amelia was/still is sick and Asher started walking in 4-5 step sequences.  It was an exhausting weekend for sure.  Amelia has hand, foot and mouth, which is HORRIBLE, and there's nothing I can do for her.  So I was up multiple times a night with her, and since Asher chose this weekend to start walking he didn't sleep well either (not that he ever sleeps GREAT).  I didn't take any pictures but managed two videos of Asher.  Amelia wasn't in any sort of mood to take pictures or videos of her.  The first video is of him walking to me and the second is of him poking a baby dolls eye out.  :)  Listen to him in the second video, this is his FAVORITE noise to make, and Nathan equates it to the most annoying sound in the world per Dumb and Dumber.  We had to listen to this one night ALL the way home from Shell Knob.  And Amelia yelling at me in the middle of it, tell me she 'needed a little help in here', not big deal she was just making herself a tent.  :)  Those kids...

4th of July

With the 4th being in the middle of the week it completely threw off our normal schedule. So I'm super late posting anything. Early Wednesday morning we got up and headed to Branson to the Landing where we just took it easy with no plans whatsoever. Amelia got to make her first build-a-bear and throw coins in the fountain. Wednesday evening we went to my Dads for dinner and fireworks. It was good, but busy day. Both kids got to bed WAY after their bedtimes, but that happens sometimes! Here are some pictures, all of the ones at the Landing are of Amelia because Asher was napping in the stroller.

Big Girl Bed

Saturday night was Amelia's first official night in her 'big girl' bed.  We converted her crib until a toddler bed by adding the toddler rail that we purchased when we bought the crib.  We've waited a while just because she's been fine in her crib and has never tried to climb out or anything, so we were in no big rush.  But Asher has decided that he just wants to be put down in his bed to go to sleep (a VERY good thing) and Lois only has one crib at her house which Amelia has been using up until this point.  Well Asher now needs the crib, so Mema bought Amelia a toddler bed for her house, so we went ahead and switched her at home as well.  Wow that was the long way of explaining all that.  Sorry.  :)
She's done great and has slept all night in her bed everynight.  When she wakes up she just sits up and still hollers for me, no roaming around, yet!
