The Ponytail

I'm probably overly excited about this, but Amelia let me put her hair in a ponytail over the weekend.  The most significant thing about this is...she left it up!  Up until this point she would have nothing to do with me putting her hair up, because, 'it hurts mama'.  But Sunday night she ASKED me to put her hair up!  She even cried when I told her we had to take it down to wash her hair and this morning she went to the babysitters house with her hair in a ponytail!  I love it and her!

Friday Entertainment

For your viewing enjoyment this Friday morning I have a video of Asher that I thought was pretty funny! He's at Mema's doing chin-ups on the oven door.  Little dude, is SO strong, I really don't think it's natural to be this strong at seven and a half months old.

I have another video that I will post soon of the kids laughing together at bath time, but Nathan's phone won't send it to mine.  Stupid Andriod.  :)

Random ramblings

- I'm loving this weather, but it's almost hot enough I need my air conditioner on I'm trying to refrain since it's suppose to cool down again.

- I'm addicted to Dr. Pepper.

- I really want to go shopping or get a pedicure or just have a day off!!

- Our house cleaner starts Monday, should I pre-clean this weekend?

- I'm happy to report that Asher is sleeping a lot better, we are now consistently getting a good 7-8 hour stretch of night time sleep.
-  We are having a garage sale, June 2nd, our stuff will be departing my house and residing in someone else's. (I hope!)

- Tuesday I did SEVEN loads are laundry, insanity I say.  I'm not sure how adding one more person to our house equals so much more laundry.

- The candy jar is full as work, bad news for me.

I failed to take a single picture this weekend.  We had a lot going on and with Grandpa's funeral we were out of pocket all day Sunday, so no pictures.  But Kendra is great about sending me pictures of the kids throughout the day and here are some of my favorites she has snapped.

How Great Thou Art

My Grandpa past away last night.  I'm sad and I will grieve, but also I'm thankful he's not in pain and didn't have to surfer long.  I cling to God's promise in, 2 Corinthians 5:6-8  ⁶ So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. ⁷ For we walk by faith, not by sight. ⁸ We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. 

Random Ramblings

- My daughter has out grown ALL her long pants, and I can't find long pants ANYWHERE. Anyone know of someone looking to get rid of 3T's?

- I might be getting a house cleaner on a every other week bases. Woo hoo! This is something I never thought I would do, but working, having two kids, trying to maintain a house AND keeping my insanity, is HARD!

- I'm now on book three of my Harry Potter reread!

- I still watch Days of Our Lives when I'm home from work.

- The new babysitter, Kendra, working out fabulously! Praise God.

- I'm really hoping to mark some 'to do's' off of my list this weekend. We have no plans and I'm looking to accomplish a lot!!

- We've switched little man back to Gentlease formula, and he seems to be doing fine! This is going to help the checkbook, a lot!!

- I could eat Chick-fil-a everyday.

- I'm cleaning my closet out, it is ridiculous.

- Lois and I bought a Silhouette Camo cutting machine, I am SO excited!! I have a ton of projects in mind!
That's all I've got for today. It's nap time at my house and I need to fold a mound of laundry! And what's a blog post without a couple of pictures of some cute kids??
