I'm kind of in a blogging rut right now. After the holidays we're back into our normal routine (thank goodness) so I don't have a lot of interesting things to write about. However, the main reason I keep up with this blog for me. I want to remember the small things that may seem unimportant at the time, but will be great memories in the future. I'm doing this not only for me, but for Amelia and Asher. So here's a somewhat random post about our normal everyday lives. :)
- Asher has recently cut both left and right molars on the bottom. Poor dude has been chewing on anything and everything. He now was eight teeth.
- Since about a month ago Amelia is 100 percent potty trained, even at night. :)
- Nathan and I had a weekend away in Branson this past weekend. I love having alone time, but I really miss the kids, a lot, when we're away.
- I've been doing some serious meal planning for both lunch and dinner and it's making me happy.
- Asher is starting to talk all the time, I love hearing him. Now, YOU might not understand what he's saying, but I completely get it. He's a pretty demanding child and knows what he wants.
- Last Saturday night during bath time Amelia was singing, I was sitting in the bathroom playing on my phone/listen to her and realized I didn't know the song she was singing. So I asked her to sing it for me. Well...it was the days of the week song, she sang it perfectly. I was so proud that she knew the days of the week in the correct order. I might have made her sing it to her daddy and her mama and poppy because I was so proud. They money I spend on preschool is paying off!!
- I recently reread The Hunger Games series. LOVE those books! I've been looking forever for something new to read but keep striking out.
- Amelia say the funniest things sometimes. They other night I was telling her what the next day held for her. I was telling her she had a big day tomorrow, she had preschool, she got to stay with Mema after school, and she had dance class that night. She replied, "I can't handle it. Takes to much energy." I don't have a clue where she gets this stuff!!
- One last my funny kids story. Asher tends to run and hide in our house, and if I can no longer hear him I know he's doing something he shouldn't be doing. So the other day while we were home I noticed the tell tell sound of silents and went looking for him. I found him in the laundry room with the door push shut, so I opened the door up and said "What are you doing in here?" He looks up at me with those big eyes and says, "Laundry." I just started laughing.
