Fall Party

Amelia had her first school party today!  It was a fall harvest party and she got to wear her pajamas.

She was running around like a crazy girl before we left the house.
First things first, pledges, announcements and prayer.
Snack time!
Time to line up!  Amelia was the line leader.

Playing games.

This was fun, trying to get the marshmallow using only her mouth.
Popcorn and Veggie Tales
'Painting' pumpkins with a marker.  :)

A Halloween story before it was time to go home!

Carrie

My best friend and I took her daughter and my niece to see Carrie Underwood Sunday night.  We had a great time.  We left a little early and went and had dinner at Zios beforehand and then headed to the concert.  I felt old during the opening act, who was Hunter Hayes.  Never heard of him and he looked about 15.  :)  But the girls LOVED him.
Carrie Underwood can flat out sing.  When it was all over, I was worn out and had some trouble hearing, but it was worth it.  I hope Audrey had as good of a time as I did!

Happy Saturday!

I'm loving the kids in their Halloween shirts today!!
Both have colds, which is NO fun at all, but I still managed a cute picture.

Weekend Rewind (I know it's already Friday)

Saturday I went to Branson with a couple of friends for a nice relaxing day of shopping and just enjoying ourselves. We had a blast! I found some great bargains as well so that's always a plus!
Saturday evening we had a Sunday School get together. We ate a lot of good food, played some games, laughed a lot, consumed to much sugar and had a great time!
Sunday morning was church, followed by naps.  Right after church Nathan took off to work for a while so the kids and I just hung out around the house, ate lunch, I worked on laundry, we watched Cinderella, Asher took another nap and we just played. That evening we packed our pumpkins up and headed to my dads.  We had dinner and craved our pumpkins.  The kids weren't so much interested in the pumpkins, but it was a beautiful evening so we played outside.  Nathan craved us two pumpkins.  Amelia and Asher and I played with sidewalk caulk and in the rocks.  :)  We had a good time and the kids seemed to enjoy themselves as well.  Asher was a cranky boy, and had a low grade fever on Sunday, I'm really thinking he's trying to get some more teeth in.  It's about time the dude still only has 4.
Me and Bub
She didn't care of taking the guts out.
What's in there?

It took me taking several pictures until I realized she was holding a craving tool. FAIL. :)

Random Ramblings

~ I touched on this in my previous post but Amelia is now wearing panties!!  Woot Woot, one down, one to go.  :)

~ These Presidential debates are killing me.  I get so frustrated when watch and checking facebook at the same time.  I have to stop.

~ Go Cardinals!!  12 in 12

~ Speaking of which tonight is the last debate and the Cards game...I'll be flipping back and forth until I can't stand watching the debate anymore.  :)

~ Asher man is talking up a storm and he'll sing Ee, I, Ee, I, Ooo.  It's too cute!

~ Amelia sang Jesus Loves Me in front of the church last Sunday.  I cried.

~ The trees are SO beautiful right now, I love this time in the Ozarks.

~ We had a good but busy weekend, I'll blog about it soon.

~ Nathan is leaving me today for his quarterly 20 group meeting.  I always hate these few day without him.  But the kids and I will survive!

~  This past week Asher slept all night, TWICE!

Does Jesus have a clock? (updated)

Tonight while I was putting Amelia bed she tells me she can't talk to Jesus because he's way up in the sky. I tell her that she can always talk to Jesus and that he'll always listen to her. She says, oh ok. (Childlike faith). Then she says good night Jesus. I proceed to kiss her and tell her I love her and good night. She then asks me if Jesus is going to bed too and I tell her yes, Jesus is going to bed too. Amelia then says, "Oh mom, does he have a clock too?". "Yes Amelia I'm sure Jesus has a clock too".
I love these conversations with her. :)

Update: Every morning since this conversation Amelia has said, Jesus my clock turned green you can wake up, while looking up at the ceiling.

FYI: Amelia has a clock that turns green at a certain wake time.  She was getting up WAY to early for this momma, so this clock works.  She stays in her bed until the clock turns green.  :)

Busy

The title of this post sum up our lives these days.  It's THURSDAY and I'm just now posting my weekend post.  It's go go go, and I am exhausted.  Asher STILL isn't sleeping well and it's about to drive me nuts.  This past weekend it seems like we ran all weekend long.  But really, it was a good weekend and I enjoy my kids, but sometimes it is exhausting.  :)

Amelia has been wearing big girl panties since the Monday before last, so just over a week straight.  I promised her a big girl circus birthday party if she started wearing big girl panties.  It's working!!  So Saturday we hit the party stores and hobby lobby to start gathering up some things for the big THIRD birthday.  We also did another first and went to Hinode with the kids for lunch.  They were both leery of the 'fire' but ate really well, so it turned out well.  Saturday even we spend at home, planting the rest of my mums, mowing the yard and brain storming circus party games.  :)

Sunday was church, followed by naps and lunch and playtime at mema and poppy's house.  After lunch we headed to Lowes for what seems like our weekly trip, a quick stop to get some pumpkins and a dash into the store to grab groceries for dinner.  The kids and Nathan played outside while I cooked, after dinner we just hung out until bedtime.

This coming up weekend is crazy busy, but it's sure to be fun, we're craving pumpkins and having a Sunday school gathering.  :)

The funniest things...

Amelia has been saying the funniest things lately. Nathan reminded me tonight that I needed to be writing these things down, because it's the small things that we'll forget. So here are some random things she's been saying lately.

- She's started telling Asher that he's her 'favorite' and her 'best friend'.

- On the way to the pumpkin farm the other day we saw a tractor and I said Asher can you say tractor? Amelia of course repeated me and followed it up with Asher can you say wrapped hay bails?

- On Tuesdays I take Asher to Sara's and Amelia to preschool and then I pick up Amelia and take her back to Sara's. The other day when we pulled up to Sara's house, Amelia says, "I sure hope bubby is here".  I said, "I sure hope he is too, I dropped him off here this morning".  :)

- We're driving down the road the other day and Amelia's says, "Hey Mom I got a nail hang, look I got a hang on my nail".  Clearly she meant, hang nail.

- On our way home from preschool the other day Amelia informs me that it's not sunny I didn't need my sunglasses on.  I told her I did need them and I was going to keep them on.  She tells me no I should take them off because it's not sunny.  I tell her again, I'm fine really I want to keep them on.  She follows this up with, "This is your last chance, I'm not going to tell you again".  I busted up laughing, she however says, "What's so funny".

- Asher doesn't always enjoy riding in the car and sometime likes to tell us about his dislike.  Amelia likes to comfort him by saying things like, "It's OK Bub I'm right here" and "Calm down".

- Amelia is very helpful (really) and we try to thank her whenever we can.  The other day she didn't something for me, I don't remember what it was, but I told her thank you Amelia.  She responded with "No problem".  That just seemed so grow up to me.  :(

These are just SOME of the funny, random things she's been saying lately.  I might start doing a 'Amelia's Random Ramblings' post.  :)

My silly kids

My babysitter has had a sick kid this week, so I've been home with my kids more than normal and they have been very entertaining.  :)    I've totally lost track of my 31 days, you'd think with being home I would have more time, but wrong, WAY less time to do anything I want to do.

Asher pushing Amelia in a DOLL stroller.
He might have super human strength.
Or she might be really lazy.
She wanted this bowl on his head.
We always have fun when we get the tunnel out!

31 days...

My new 31 day post.  :)  All about my kiddos.  Yesterday was 'Outdoorsman' Day at church, so the kids dressed up in camo.  I couldn't get over how stinking cute they looked.  Don't mind Asher in the pictures, every first Sunday we have breakfast at church, but little man was STRAVING so he needed some cheerios to tide him over.
I totally forgot to mention that Amelia was pretty sure that her and Asher were zookeepers with their camo overalls on.  It was funny she kept saying she was a zookeeper.  :)
After church and naps we headed to Mema and Papa's for lunch.  Ran to Springfield after lunch to hit the fabric store, and then ended the evening with pizza at my dad's house for dinner.  It was a good day.  :)   DAY 7 of  31

Daddy even painted my big guys face up!

Sweetness.

She's really into ALL magazine that come in the mail lately.  This was a toy one that came Saturday.

31 days...

I'm going to switch my 31 days to just kid updates. Doesn't seem like there are enough hours in the day to manage the kids, work, clean, do laundry, and do a specific bag everyday. I'm glad I made the list and I will complete it at some point, but not during the month of October! Way to many fall activities going on, what was I thinking?
This morning we headed out at 9:00 and didn't return home until 5:00. We went out to my grandmas house and helped clean out/go through my great grandma and my grandpa's things. All I can say is I'm so thankful for Nathan as he wrangled the kids the majority of the time so I could help.
After grandma's house we ended up driving straight into Springfield to hit Bass Pro, because tomorrow is 'outdoorsman' day at church, so of course the kids needed camo! :) They are going to look cute, I'll blog pictures of them tomorrow.

It's kind of hard to see but this is Amelia and Aden at my grandma's house, he was teaching her how to spell his name.
Bubba playing before we left the house.

31 days...

I'll admit I didn't get yesterdays bag done.  I won't go unto details, but it didn't happen.  So...I'll catch up over the weekend.  Later today I'm going to do a post on some cute things Amelia has been saying lately.  She cracks us up!

Haircut and Hello

Amelia got her 3rd haircut yesterday and Asher's started saying 'hello'.  It's pretty funny, becuase he'll only really say it when he has the toy phone up to his ear playing with it.  Here's a short video of him saying it.

Amelia's haircut.  She's great when she's getting it cut just sits up there like such a big girl.

When I was taking this picture she asked if I wanted her to give me her big smile.  :)

31 days....

Day 3 completed.  Stupid junk/catch all area on our kitchen counter top.  Drives me nuts daily.  You wouldn't believe the random things that get put up here.  Ridiculous, really.  So it's done and I failed to take an after picture.  I'll add that tonight after I take it.  :)

The kids and I got some fall stuff out yesterday, here's some shots of them enjoying the weather and putting our decorations up.

31days...

Day 2 completed! I found ALL of our wedding cards in my recipe drawer. Seriously? Nine years I've had those. I searched Pinterest and found a pretty cool way to make them into a keepsake. So another project to do!

31 days...

I did one number last night!  Woo hoo.  I already feel better.  I'm excited to keep up with it.  I've decided to include daily pictures of the kiddos too, because they are just so cute and I can.  :)

Junk Drawer

He fell a second time and ripped the scab off, it's actually looking a lot better now!

Look Mom I can put my helmet on by myself.  Even if it is backwards, good job Amelia.

Fall Weekend

We had a great fall weekend!  Saturday we met up at a local farm with some friends of ours and let the kiddos at it.  They literally all took off running together headed towards the bounce house when we first got there, not a care in the world as to where we (the parents) were.  Everyone had a great time.  Saturday evening Nathan and I got a date night that included dinner and some shopping.  Sunday was church, naps, lunch, groceries, naps and dinner.  Just a normal Sunday.  We love fall weekends!
