Last night after I picked him up from Kendra's he was in a super good mood because he had napped so well (two TWO HOUR naps) so we played pretty hard when we got home. Amelia and I were pretending to 'get' him and he let go of the couch and took a few steps a couple of times. I told Nathan this when he got home, and Asher ended up doing it for him too. Today he went to Mema's house and she text me at one point and said that he had took two steps to Kylie. Well when I go to pick the kids Lois has video on her cell phone of him taking steps. It's not the best but you can clearly see that he lets go and 'walks'. I couldn't get her video to Bluetooth to my phone, so I took video of her video with my phone (technology at its best). So here's my nine month and 4 days old baby 'walking'.

Baby Steps
Asher has taken his first real steps. I'm not sure if I'm excited or sad. I'm really thinking a little of both right now.

Family Fun Weekend!!
We had such a great weekend, just enjoying each other and hanging out as a family. I am so incredibly blessed to have Nathan, Amelia and Asher.
Friday night we told Amelia that Saturday we would 'do something fun' she was so excited and she didn't even know what 'something fun' was. We decided that we would hit Silver Dollar City early Saturday morning, spend a few hours there and then head back home. The weather was fabulous and we had a great time. Amelia enjoyed herself and Asher was great all day. It really was a lot of fun.

After SDC we ran to the Stride Rite store at Tanger because I thought Asher's little shoes weren't fitting him anymore and I got both the kids feet measured. I'm SO glad we did this, as it turns out, BOTH of them were wearing shoes that were 2 sizes too small. I get the number one mom award right here (pointing at self)! So we ended up purchasing 5 pair of shoes over the course of the weekend.
Sunday was church, birthday dinner for Shannon and then a quick trip to the mall for above mentioned shoes.
We had a great weekend and I can't wait to have many!

Randomness
It's Wednesday and I have a lot of randomness to post.
~ I need to do another Kendra picture dump soon. She's awesome about sending me pictures of the kids throughout the day. I'm so very grateful for that. But I currently have 1147 pictures on my phone.
~ Since Asher is now a 'big boy' we have moved him out of the whale tub into our normal bath tub. Sissy joins in on the fun occasionally. Here is a picture of there first bath together. :)
~ I'm not giving up hope on a family vacation yet. I've been researching, and came up with the following choices; Nashville, Chicago or Dallas. Any suggestions? Remember we are traveling with an infant and a toddler.
~ Amelia is seriously talking like she's 13 these days, it's so funny. I laugh at her daily. This morning on our way to the babysitter, she declares, "watch out for those cars mom", and "wow that was a close one". By the way, no close one that I was aware of.
~ What did I do without my iPhone? I'm addicted.
Have a good rest of the week, I think I'm pretty much 'caught up' on my blog. I might do that Kendra picture dump soon though. :)

Long Weekend
(Disclaimer this is about a week late, SORRY!! I started writing it a week ago, that counts right?)
Whew...what a weekend. I need a day to recoup. It was a good but busy (as usual) Memorial day weekend.
Saturday started off with switching Asher to his big boy seat! He still technically fits in the infant carrier, but man oh man he was getting harder to lift up into the truck, so I bit the bullet and switched him to his rear facing convertible car seat. Now he gets to ride in the cart and sit in a highchair at restaurants like a big boy, which is a whole new adventure!
Sunday was church, nap time and then Eli's birthday party. Amelia is really into birthday parties right now, I think it's mainly being able to check out all the new toys and sing happy birthday but whatever. I stole these pictures from Brittney's Facebook page.

Monday we were brave and had our Sunday school class over for burgers and hot dogs and an afternoon full of water slides and fun for the kiddos. We really had a great time, all together there were 31 people at my house. I'm really really thinking I need a bigger house!! I didn't take many pictures that afternoon because I was wrestling a particular little boy. But here are the few I manged to take.

Weekend rewind
Saturday - Garage Sale Day! Woo hoo, I managed to make over $600.00 in 5 hours! I was super shocked. Nathan actually didn't believe me when I told him. We closed up shop at 12, packed up and I was home by 1:00, with my tote and a half of non sold items. Very successful for only half a day of you ask me!!
Saturday evening we had a birthday to attend followed by a quick dinner of pizza and bread sticks. And an early bedtime, because Amelia was up three times Friday night?!?!
Sunday - church, followed by dinner at the in laws, followed by grocery shopping and an early dinner at home. Lots of time to play and we painted Amelia's toenails with 'sprinkles'.
Not a very exciting post, and I debated about even posting it. But that was our weekend in a nutshell. :)

TWO teeth
Little dudes second bottom tooth broke through yesterday! He's growing up so fast, I can't believe he'll already be nine month old next week. He REFUSES to let me take a picture of the teeth. I open up his mouth and he sticks his tongue out. Here's a few pictures from yesterday. Also, don't mind the huge slobber ring, to my defense it's not all slobber, he had a cup of water right before I took these pictures and instead of drinking the water he enjoys spitting it back out. :)
